This interactive website serves as a tool for the public and for policy makers to search the policies in all 50 states. A National Advisory Panel comprising former and current state legislators who have worked in this field, as well as representatives from:
- National Governors Association (NGA), Center for Best Practices
- American Bar Association (ABA) Commission for Aging and Law
- National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL)
- American Automobile Association
All the above have assisted with this effort to accelerate change by disseminating the project results to those seeking to support mobility for older people in the United States.
Policies that remove barriers or create incentives for the use of private resources:
accelerate policy change that is popular with policy makers; have minimal impact on taxpayers; expand the resources available to fund consumer-oriented transportation; contribute to the local economy; and improve mobility and quality of life for older people.
